Hi my name is Simon Charlton,

It would be a privilege for me to capture the most special day in your life. I have spent the last 15 years working in Dubai.

For 11 of those years I was the personal family photographer for a leading member of the UAE Royal Family in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, whilst also running my own successful photography company.

This incredible experience taught me to work discreetly whilst having fun capturing the most creative images under many different and sometimes extraordinary circumstances. My photographic subjects and clients have often included celebrities, officials and Royalty.

As a result, I am highly experienced in documenting important ceremonies, events and Weddings.

My relaxed nature and discretion compliment’s my professionalism and creativity.

Now based in Swansea, South Wales, I continue to work with clients all around the world. From intimate beach ceremonies to huge elaborate celebrations in Mumbai.

Whatever your wedding plans entail it should be documented in a fun, yet, professional way.

This is at the heart of my approach.

Having shot over 250 weddings worldwide, I fully understand which details to capture as well as knowing how to get the best of out people, arrange group shots, successfully capture images of guests who don’t like having their photo taken, yet being discreet and fun on the day. My experience means I can read a variety of situations and deal with any challenges more effectively.

Finally, but importantly, Wedding photos and video’s are one of the very few purchases from your wedding that will last beyond a lifetime, a true heirloom. They are such a huge part of the memories of the wedding you need absolute confidence you have the best person behind the camera!

Over the course of my career, I have been fortunate to have photographed across a broad spectrum of situations and in many locations, working closely with a varied and dynamic range of clientele. Some examples include: documenting artists and their work; food photography for advertising campaigns and restaurants; hanging out of a helicopter at 300ft capturing motorcyclists over sand dunes then 10 metres underwater filming turtles and reef life. I have documented huge corporate events with over 2,000 attendees as well as Royal, National and official ceremonies, press conferences and many other notable occasions. I have also worked across a range of sporting events, such as, Dubai World Cup horse racing, Formula 1, rugby 7’s and with national sports teams – documenting their team training and taking portraits.
